Sociopaths in the news

A seven-year-old boy broke into the Alice Springs Reptile Center in central Australia by jumping the fence, and then proceeded to feed both live and dead animals to a crocodile:
The footage shows the barefoot boy, wearing shorts and a T-shirt, climbing over the zoo's fence on Wednesday morning, evading sensor alarms possibly because of his size. He is seen throwing live lizards into the crocodile's enclosure, bashing others to death with a rock, and smashing a turtle the size of a dinner plate on a concrete pathway.

According to Mr Neindorf, the boy is mainly "blank-faced." He added: "We're horrified that anyone can do this, and saddened by the age of the child."

  3. see, now I am sort of interested in this boys delight. What a kind sorta innocent way to FEED THE PREDATOR! I mean the act can be seen as a mirror for his own need for "sustenance"

  4. but you have to wonder what the parents have witnessed.

I have a parent who went to work knowing all too well I was hanging out with the neighbor who had a "mean streak"

Of course I am the idiot who hung out with the kid..gee I guess I was old enough to know better, stupid me..

Hardly. Most psychopath and narcissist kids will torture animals, why not? They lack empathy. A very small percentage will move onto humans. They are smart enough to know that you will not get off as lightly, when you kill a human. The only thing that stops them is the law.

  7. How many of the psychopaths here killed and tortured animals? Do you still do it?

  8. Some shoeless child breaks into an zoo cage and feeds a crocodile, displaying no emotions, not even delight or interest during his kills, and you label him a Sociopath. Are you an idiot, ME, or just linking to a popular story to boost page rank?

    ReplyDelete
  22. hmm... ok then that makes me think the socio i'm dealing with either isn't one (extremely doubtful) or is using the spiritual thing as a tool since his social network is mostly hyper religious.

This was a very vague post and there is not enough information to accurately diagnose the boy and he was too young to get any sexual release. I know this.

  40. The narcissist abuses his victim verbally, mentally, or physically (often, in all three ways). He infiltrates her defences, shatters her self-confidence, confuses and confounds her, demeans and debases her. He invades her territory, abuses her confidence, exhausts her resources, hurts her loved ones, threatens her stability and security, enmeshes her in his paranoid state of mind, frightens her out of her wits, withholds love and sex from her, prevents satisfaction and causes frustration, humiliates and insults her privately and in public, points out her shortcomings, criticises her profusely and in a “scientific and objective” manner – and this is a partial list.

The narcissist loves to be hated and hates to be loved.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  70. The Wizard appeared to be big, until you got close. That fits UKan.

    ReplyDelete
  71. The only people UKan has intimidated here are the truly weak and the easily broken. They're hardly considered people. They have no place worth mentioning in the natural order. Just fledglings that should have been dashed on the rocks after birth.

My friend's girlfriend does this thing, she did it the other night, he told me .. We got to the counter at eckerds and she said : do you have butt plugs? She told her boyfriend she was going to do it and he didn't quite believe her.. She then commented on her boyfriend's protestations about the need for said butt plugs to the clerk and said "I just don't understand men. THey say one thing a minute before and then they change their story 5 mins later. Then she devalued him in her head the rest of the night. , He told me.

  80. Go on, Anon. What is happening?

    ReplyDelete
  81. I am feeling low. I crticize all my actions. My new friend is nice, but I don't feel like I completely respect him in my head. in fact I don't say nice things to him in my head, and I smile to him on the outside. HE is nice. LAst night, though, hailed a cab, and cut this single woman off to get for us. She said: "Such a gentleman" THis came after a very nice night where he was a total gentleman with me. I can tell there is something off. I think he may not be so nice, now. But I don't know. He is so very very nice and patient. But I am very afraid I will not trust anyone ever again. So I am tempted to devalue him and sabotage, and that makes me feel very alone.

    ReplyDelete
  82. If you have this pattern, it will not change overnight.
It is ingrained, for a reason.

    ReplyDelete
  83. A good reason?

Or simply because I am used to being around assholes, and I am on guard.

    ReplyDelete
  84. if a person treats someone else bad just to please you, be warned. you shouldn't have to mistreat one person to please another. trust your instincts anon. keep him around but do not be so trusting until he proves his worth.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I agree anon. Something is causing her to doubt to the point where she has even talked to all of her friends and came here. Something inside her is telling her it's not right. But she is trying to rationalize it. I say if this person is worrisome to this degree then end it.

do you think it is even possible to love a sociopath? By love I mean a healthier form with less infatuation involved.

    ReplyDelete
  109. you can love however you want

...it is their love that is the problem

    ReplyDelete
  110. even after the blinders are removed and they see the socio for what they are? what I should be asking is it the masks they fall in love with? A lot of women miss the socio once he is gone for some reason. I am just trying to better understand it.

    ReplyDelete
  111. They are very simple. They are attentive and very loving and generous. Their sudden shifts are just them jerking you about, but the ride is still going on. If they want you, you are still on the ride. They tell YOU when to get off it. It is their ride. You are at their mercy. You must be a person who enjoys a roller coaster, or a gambler or something, and also a person who also wants to be a kid, like them. It's nice to stay young.

    ReplyDelete
  112. You miss the carefree. You miss the whimsy. The relationship doesn't get off the ground...it stays at the honeymoon phase and then BOOM. Unless you spend a long time with them...I don't know anything about that personally.

    ReplyDelete
  113. OIC I have no experience dating socios so that helps clear it up.

    ReplyDelete
  114. And you might miss the sparring, if you like to do that kind of thing, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  115. That is not your experience with your narc mate?

    ReplyDelete
  116. no my experience is nothing like that.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I have a theory why they come here. They Google and Bing to their heart's content, find not so amazing resources like Lovefraud and psychopath victim support, and even though they can see all the signs of abuse, the traits, the markers, there's a part of them that says, "That's not who I fell in love with. There had to be more."

So then they search, "Do Sociopaths Love?" And voila, Sociopath World appears. They wonder, what is this strange website, filled with articles that sound like they could have been penned by the man/woman that stole and shattered their heart in such a profound way that the only explanation was Evil or Mental Illness. No other creature could wreak such a havoc on someone, surely?

It's all romanticized bullshit, twisted in their little minds to be something it isn't more times than not. More than half of them are just dating an asshole who never grew up. They're young and dumb and couldn't tell the difference between a sociopath and someone who woke up on the wrong side of bed.

When you mix high levels of emotions and rely on your 'gut' it's like playing roulette. The house always wins.

If you as a beeper truly believe that your gut is more reliable than your mind, then that says a lot about your character.

    ReplyDelete
  118. There's a difference between a 'gut feeling' and an emotion, TNP.

    Intuition is not an emotion.

I feel that, yes, even bpders should listen to their gut. The issue would be being able to tell the difference, but I think it's possible.

Sweet, people don't fall in love with socios they fall in love with their own imaginations.

  120. I would be most appreciative.

    ReplyDelete
  121. If you would like, I can explain where I am coming from, first. Whichever you prefer, is fine. I know you are on to something very crucial.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I will explain where I am coming from, in anticipation of your answer( hopefully)

I feel in love with a sociopath. This could be called the last draw in my fall downward.

This could be called my last step in the descent toward Hell.

So, the sociopath is gone, not due to my strength. He dumped me.

    ReplyDelete
  123. If he had not dumped me, I would still be hooked, but he did and I am glad of it.

    However, back to the point.

I ended up with him due to an amorphous self. If I had a more cohesive self, I would not have started with him in the first place.

If I had started with him, I would have stopped shortly after, when he became abusive.

At any rate, he mirrored me. That is their strength. They mirror the people with weak selves.

The people who fall for sociopaths were not mirrored, as children, and hence do not have proper reference to their own selves.

What I mean, is that the people who are not mirrored do not have reference to their own selves and hence need others to reference their self FOR THEM.

    ReplyDelete
  124. The sociopath mirrors the person with the weak self. The mother should have done that, but didn't.

The person with the weak self is a walking magnet for anyone who can mirror herself, back to her.

If she had a strong sense of self encapsulated within a boundary, such as a cell wall does, she would cast out the sociopath as toxic, in the same way the cell wall casts off arsenic.

    ReplyDelete
  125. God knows why anyone would want to hurt animals unless there's a reason for it like food, self defence or just releasing frustration.

"Normal kids just put firecrackers in the butts of frogs.
    -Vigilius"

Exactly, I bet most kids who hurt animals aren't 'paths.

"Hardly. Most psychopath and narcissist kids will torture animals, why not? They lack empathy. A very small percentage will move onto humans. They are smart enough to know that you will not get off as lightly, when you kill a human. The only thing that stops them is the law."

Firstly, autistic people also lack empathy but are not known for hurting animals. therefore lacking cannot be an explanation.

Secondly, 'paths like autistic people innately recognise a distinction between living and non-living objects.

Thirdly, I suspect that female 'paths will be less likely to abuse those weaker than themselves because female brains predispose girls and women to nurturing behaviour relative to males.

    ReplyDelete
  126. when he feeds a fire cracker to the crock then maybe we can consider him a sociopath. People have been killing animals since we figured out we could eat them. There is not malevolence here. The kid is simply feeding a pet.

    ReplyDelete
  127. There should be screening for this kind of behaviour in schools with mandatory psychological tests and brain scans for suspects. Anyone found to be exhibiting this behaviour should be fed to crocodiles so that they don't get chance to harm normal decent human beings. end of.
