A lot of people ask me why a sociopath who has ended a relationship would still go through a great deal of effort to ensure that contact is never cut off completely.
When sociopaths are involved in any serious relationship, they become a special version of themselves just for that person. I think the sociopath's desire to check in is a desire to reconnect with that person that he once was, the same way that people might nostalgically flip through photo albums, even if the photos are only of themselves. Why to people go to a reunion? Is it really to catch up with old friends, or more to remember who they used to be?

And why can't we be multiple things to multiple people? I've been thinking recently whether I collect other people, or whether I allow myself to be collected. Even worthless junk can become priceless in the hands of the right collector.
I can certainly relate to this, M.E.
ReplyDeleteI've been many different versions of myself for many different people. I, almost to an obsessive extent, keep in contact with the people that I actually formed a real bond with.
In contrast, there are people that I have spent an extensive amount of time with that I have no interest to keep in contact with.
From a detached standpoint, I cannot currently dissect into the meat of it to understand why I am this way, to keep in contact with some, and show apathy towards others. I do however know that those I do keep in contact with, it is a matter of fond memories, truly fond. Affection, possibly. Perhaps those people just meant more to me, and at a conscious level I cannot tell why.
Sometimes though, it isn't too important to know the why, but more that even with this disorder, Antisocial, that we can exhibit some remarkably social behavior.
Regardless of the true underlying reason, as I've said before, many times Effect outweighs Intent.
I have a similar recurring experience. I am married and have a son. And it ends up with me playing these fantastic pieces of acting -- I am not a person, per se, but I am Husband, Father, Son-in-law, Brother-in-law, Worker, Colleague, etc.
DeleteI have a tendency to contact my ex-girlfriends and communicate with them. Sometimes to rile them up, sometimes to flirt, sometimes just watching them without them knowing.
I take a break from my various commonly played roles and step into another -- putting on another mask, if you will.
My wife finds out about it on occasion, and I wouldn't call it a fight that ensues, because I don't really fight with people. Either I win the argument before it starts, or I just avoid the whole thing. I have a sort of code that helps me avoid using violence so that I don't end up in trouble. Part of those guidelines are that disagreements lead to arguments lead to fights which leads to major inconveniences like jail and fines and lawyers and prison.
I enjoy the thrill and the hunt and the adrenaline, or whatever it is. However, I prefer to temper my urges with logic.
But I believe that this post here actually has helped me see things like that. I always knew the masks. I believe it was the photo album analogy that was the most helpful.
This is interesting to me. My ex hasn't said good bye to me..in words anyway. His ex wife told me he will not say it because he thinks there is a part of me that belongs to him. Don't know about that though because he has gone to great lenths to erase me from his life. So I'm confused about it. I'm sure he deleted all my pictures and he had to get his truck detailed to get rid of my hair..I have lots of hair and it sheeds everywhere and he hated that...maybe that's just a domestic issue:) None of this should even matter to me anymore and yet I still think about him. BLA..I hate myself for this. I should be able to erase him just the same.
ReplyDeleteGrace
I think it takes time to let some one go. I'm well aware of how painful it is to let go of someone, but then I remember how many people I've let go in my life, and I don't even think of them anymore. Their not even part of my consciousness.
DeleteIt's freeing when you get to that point. (but at that point there's usually someone new to think about, go figure.)
Maybe, we shouldn't hope to be able to erase part of our lives (part of ourselves). Instead, maybe we should hope to be able to recognize that there is something to be gained from all experience; the "good times" for the pleasure they bring, and the "not so good times" for opportunity we have to learn from them.
ReplyDeletei do not cut ties unless i am 100% sure that i do not need them anymore. i do not act in a way that will will curb how i feel i act in a way that will preserve what i want from that person. if someone is trying to cut ties with me i know exactly what to do to make that person stick around whether it be leave them alone for a week or kiss them right then and there......i hate when someone leaves me and i cant do anything about it ....that is when i am most bothered
ReplyDeleteThis makes sense to me. Often when I'm feeling nostalgic for a different period in my life, or somewhere I used to live (I've moved a lot), or an old close friend that I don't see anymore, the feeling is more like I'm missing myself. The other me that I associate with that time or place or person feels like a different person from my current self, and I would find it very difficult to let go of them.
ReplyDeletei miss people rarely and when i do, it tends to be long after their absence. it's usually kind of vague, a sort of nostalgia as someone mentioned, rather than actual grief.
ReplyDeleteC'mon guys, some interesting topic. What's sociopath's opinion on society in a sentence ? Go ahead.
ReplyDeleteIt's there to serve me, Mike.
ReplyDeleteGood, that's a good beginning, what else. What else does society do for you?
ReplyDeletePS:
I am trying to make you hate society lol
"C'mon guys, some interesting topic. What's sociopath's opinion on society in a sentence ? Go ahead."
ReplyDeleteWhere's my lighter?~
Were you being sarcastic about today's post, thinking it not interesting? If so, pity.
My opinion of society is that it's sort of like sluggish, buggy, outdated software on your new computer. Problem is there are rarely patches and no one really seems to have an alternate product. It is what it is.
it contains a number of trolls named "mike."
ReplyDeleteMy opinion of society?
ReplyDeleteIt's a pity that fuck-tards don't die at birth.
@ Notable:
ReplyDeleteNah man, i rarely am sarcastic. I barely understand the subtlety in a conversation with an old lady.
I just noticed that noone is talking around here.
@Anon 11:08 :
What are you supposed to be ? troll ...
"What else does society do for you?"
ReplyDeleteIt provides me with ways to succeed for massive profit.
(btard jokes aside: I can gain pleasure from the things I earn in life. So, indirectly, it provides me with pleasure.)
society...
ReplyDeletei feel ..impartial
with it alows people to gain vast amounts of power by having people use their strengths in school...sports...blah blah
without it only the strong survive..without it i would have the most bad ass possy and would be ruled by no one
@ mike
ReplyDeleteno--i missed the comments in between yours and mine. i assumed you were being sarcastic too, and possibly attempting to bait argument for argument's sake.
but i see that isn't the case.
society? i wish it weren't so polarized into ideas of good and evil. that's my only thought for now.
Society means "Hey we all are at the top of the food chain and noone is allowed to eat a fellow at the top."
ReplyDeleteOnly, there are ranks among us also.
It is a controlled way of living.
but really this is a stupid topic society is inevitable even with the downfall of ever etablishment society would still exist as long as people still exist...
ReplyDeletehow about ....how do you feel about police ..../government
i feel like they are poeple that want to run YOUR life and are drunk with power.. police can go suck a dick.... all they do is get people in trouble when and rarely help anyone... a cop has never helped me return something that was stolen...caught a guy who raped a friend all they do is catch me smoking pot or driving reclessly or shun all of my behavior.. they should all die.....i purposely troll cops any chance i get...i get caught doing somthign that looks illegal but not and fuck with them untill they relize how fucking stupid they really are..
once when I broke up with someone I loved but did not like I kept one piece of hair and put it away. After that I cleaned up all hair from home and car for two reasons, first did not want to be reminded of this person.
ReplyDeleteSecond, one of the best things about the break-up was the chance to get rid of hair from all over the place. Finally clean....

And to be rid of the evidence, right?
do sociopaths tend to be good at learning languages?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletewell we are smarter than the average joe so i would say yes.. and i would say i am better at reading body language and peoples real intentions which even if i dont know what they are saying i can sometimes figure it out
ReplyDeleteI am, but I don't think it's a correlation.
ReplyDeletecold, shut the fuck up.
ReplyDeletehahahahah
ReplyDeletelol, cold got told.
ReplyDeletehahahah yeah he did
ReplyDeletecold is smart in his own ways, just not in grammar and not in avoiding-to-get-caught, or smart to get caught when innocent but not when guilty. That's cool
ReplyDeleteI feel like the only reason I should worry about grammar in a place like this is so I am not picked apart by a group of sociopaths. Get over it. Grammar is far from a sign of intelligence. I am without a doubt smart. Just think for a moment (I understand this might be a little hard for you Postmodern Sociopath) about how a person would act if they wrongly accused you of something. They are now yours.
ReplyDeleteI fail to see how proposing a hypothetical is a sign of intelligence. Also, I didn't call you out on your (terrible) grammar. That was an anon.
ReplyDeleteWhat I objected to was your connecting intelligence and sociopathy, when there is a significant number of stupid sociopaths.
Agreed PMS.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand how you claim your so smart and clever, yet all of you enter here with no style at all. No games, no tricks, and no information. All you do is talk about yourself like we care. I end up almost skimming the entire comment section looking for one splinter of something useful, or something to relieve boredom, but no. Just people talking about how smart they think they are. Fucking boring. Show us how smart you are people.
ReplyDeleteWhen I break up I don't ever see the person again. I completely erase them. I never call them. I ignore their calls and if they stalk me I threaten them. What you throw in the garbage is trash. Let someone else deal with it.

you should cut them some slack, cold. cops have to deal with morons all the time. they are only human. they are also the ones protecting your sorry ass from the real predators.
why are you driving recklessly? why are you getting caught smoking pot? why can't you smoke discretely like most of the rest of the world? if i were a cop i would arrest you for wasting my time when there are real criminals to catch.
Exactly, UKan. "When we're done, I'll erase you from my life, as if you never existed."
ReplyDeletelet cold get arrested a few times when innocent. cops will learn quickly that they're dealing with a moron and leave him alone next time. hopefully, cold will still have a tight ass. unless he thinks that part is actually a bonus, lol.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Zoe. They should arrest people just for being stupid.
ReplyDeleteI am not trying to prove that I am smart by proposing a hypothetical because no mater what you will not believe me. There is a correlation between intelligence and sociopathy. sociopaths on average have a higher IQ if those are just letters to you I’ll fill you in that it is an acronym for Intelligence Quotient. Do you really know many sociopaths on a personal level? Are you like “who here is a sociopath I want to know because I’m one? Doubtful. I’m ok with taking this conversation out of the mud. As for UK dude. Do something else then. Don’t rely on us to be here for your amusement. You want help? Go masturbate or get drunk or something. Obviously you don’t care about me nor do I expect you to. I am not trying to prove my intelligence to anyone. You are just an illusion of a person. You are someone who I will probably never encounter again. What if you break up with a person but you still find them attractive? Do you cut all ties? I personally try not to but there are always different situations where it is beneficial to.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that's how it is UKan. But when was the last time you did that? You've been with your girl for a while now right? I just have a hard time believing that a man would do that to a woman...any man over the age of 25 anyway. It's hard to understand that part of it...the end was like he died. Plus he didn't see me face to face to end it. That's another thing that makes me sick to my stomach. I guess he was too scared to do it the right way...don't know.
ReplyDeleteGrace
"Grammar is far from a sign of intelligence."
ReplyDeleteThis often seems to be the case. I've met plenty of idiots who try to disguise themselves as intellectuals, simply by using a fancy vocabulary when in fact, they don't have a fucking clue what their talking about.
I view society as one great structure. It's a little hard to explain, but I don't even think of people as people, their all just a part of this structure. I don't see any of them as seperate, nobody is an individual, they all belong in the same category. All of the qualities that different people possess, which supposedly make them unique individuals are false and insignificant. Their simply fronts which serve the purpose of convincing themselves and others that they are special and worthwhile when fact, their not.

without your doubt you are. but how would we know? perhaps this is the best you can do?
if you were to attend a function where you could only be seen but not heard, would you arrive with unwashed hair, in dirty clothes, and mismatched socks? like you had just rolled out of bed?
all we have in this place is text, cold. you will have to prove you know how to use grammar rules before you can pull off breaking them. otherwise we just see slovenly.

My only response is to ask you to cite the studies wherein this correlation was shown to be a reality.
Personal note: damn formatting.
I thought that studies had shown that the average sociopath typically possesses slightly below average intelligence. Then again those studies must have been carried out on imprisoned sociopaths, and they must of been pretty retarded to have gotten themselves locked up and diognosed.
ReplyDeleteOn a more dickish note, "IQ" is actually an initialism, not an acronym. Acronyms are pronounceable as words. Cf. SNAFU, PEBKAC, etc.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts precisely, Misanthrope.
ReplyDelete"Grammar is far from a sign of intelligence."

Somebody, please teach misanthrope that grammar and fancy vocabulary are two different things, lol.
"I am not trying to prove that I am smart by proposing a hypothetical because no mater what you will not believe me. "
ReplyDeleteYou don't propose a hypothetical, you propose a hypothesis. Not mater, but matter.
Ooh, I like this anon. Though, to be fair, I used the "propose a hypothetical" construction first as lazy shorthand for "propose a hypothetical situation", so it's not all his fault.
ReplyDeleteto Misanthrope-I agree that we live in a seemless whole and the farther we move away from that point the more individual we become.
ReplyDeleteSome people are special and people that can write well, not me, and express themselves in a way that people can relate to is a talent. I think some sociopaths can do that very well. Like Postmodern, for example, can do that because he reads more, that's usually why people can write well, so then he has absorbed more information. Now whatever he does with all that info is his business.
And I'm smart but who cares. My employer cares...but that's about it. I read a lot too but it's about the body and unless you're interested in that it would be tourture to read it. My ex bf said I was smart but not street smart...but that didn't keep him around....so there goes that theory. Smart nice girls don't get biker dudes!
Grace
I hypothesize that sociopaths are sort of, Natural-Born Anthropologists, except their desire to learn and study is more a matter of survival and amusement than academia.
ReplyDeleteI look at people like I do other animals. When I see a particular behavior in an individual or a group that reminds me of a different type of animals, I have a good chuckle.
It's not that I think humans in general are below me, quite the opposite. I just don't think they're on their own Above Animal pedestal. It's not modesty, just being realistic.
huh, shit, Momentary lapse in concentration, but I guess what I said applies to grammer and vocabulary. Your right Anon, but just for damaging my pride, FUCK YOU ASSHOLE! (:

ReplyDeleteDo you ever criticize yourself?
Just wondering, broski.
I think sociopaths do a good job of living in the now. They can focus on the task at hand without being influenced by feelings or events from the past, other lessons learned, and they don't become so anxious about the future. When they do get anxious it's more like a response to present situations, just like animals do.
ReplyDeleteGrace
So you think of yourself as below others Notable?

Not seemless, but seamless.
"I'm smart but who cares. My employer cares...but that's about it."
Meaning you don't care that you're not dumb? What but smarts is your best friend, buddy. Go try some dumb on yourself intentionally, you may learn to appreciate more in your life.
" read a lot too but it's about the body and unless you're interested in that it would be tourture to read it."
Real torture to me is to read 'tourture." Are you a doctor or something, goodness, no wonder they can't write, busy memorizing body info. Or, r u an undertaker? I'd trust you better with dead folks than alive.

Too many lapses man, not grammer but grammar.
@Misanthrope: No, I guess that was poor wording.
ReplyDelete@Grace: I'd have to agree, mostly. The future only makes me anxious when it is something I'm certain is set in stone.
@2: Hopefully not in public. It can sometimes be seen as self-deprecation, which although can be funny, should not be something to utilize yourself. It's like blood in the snow, just asking for trouble.

ReplyDeleteDo I have to stay in after class?
I'm a terrible speller and I don't use spell check either not for blogging anyway. I'm studying to be a nurse. And I do care about my head so much so that I will remember how to spell seamless and torture. I can take criticisms well that will enhance me and use them to my advantage without being hurt.
ReplyDeleteI wish it were that easy to study the body but it’s not. It’s the physiology that makes it so much more than memorizations. But I understand why you would think that because you don’t know about it yourself. Careers in the funeral business are big right now!
Grace
you to the corner. stay there till I say so.
ReplyDeleteLOL :)) you guys found something to talk about huh ? SPELLING :)) think about it :)) what does that say about your iq?
ReplyDeleteGrace, very gracious. Very gracious, indeed. Teacher stops here for at least someone enjoyed learning something.

HA!
It's important to them Fred. Good spellers will do that...especially if they are looking for weaknesses. Their entitled.
ReplyDeleteGrace
Their = an object an individual possesses/they're = they are. I.e., they are entitled. Come on, America, come on. Just one of the many ways public education has failed this country.
DeleteChristopher Hitchens has cancer of the oesophagus. i like him, and i should give up the smokes. yeah.~
ReplyDeletetalking endlessly about the ability to use language well is the domain of the emotionally vacuous. oh, look what i did there.
you pains in the ass.
note my extraordinarily faultless use of language. do i care? no, i'm busy thinking about my impending cancer...bollocks.
Oh, boy, you do need a lot of work, Grace.
ReplyDelete'Their entitled?" They ARE entitled. Nurse is good, you can do nurse. Cuddle a lot.
a true what Notable..lol. What does that sound like to you?
ReplyDeleteGrace
Not "you" but You. Not "stay" but Stay. Not "till" but until.
ReplyDeleteI don't know Fred. what does that say about are IQ's?
not 'are' but 'our.'~
ReplyDeleteYou can give the e-cig a go if you actually need nicotine. I personally just love smoking, but use it when at work, as I smoke there a lot more than anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteI got a starter kit a while back for I believe... $55 US dollars. Pretty cheap.
They're not terribly sexy though when you go out for drinks. Luxury/upper crust cigarettes certainly work better.
That is where you are wrong, Told. You are here for my amusement. If you think otherwise you are fooling yourself. I'm tired of people like you talking about how clever you are, but its all talk. Why don't you show us. If you don't have something to prove then why tell us at all?
ReplyDeleteUsing good grammar makes a impression that you are intelligent. You should only use it when you want to appear that way. Using bad grammar and bad language is a tool. It makes others underestimate your intelligence.
Grace, why waste time going back to someone that it didn't work out with? Same people = Same result. There's tons of people on this planet. The last time I dumped someone was almost two years ago. She raised a weapon at me so I choked her. I didn't kill her though. I have dumped a lot of people this way. There's no need for further contact.
Someone asked what if you still find them attractive. Who cares? Why wouldn't you get someone attractive that isn't weighing you down with their bullshit. Why break up at all unless you want to get rid of them? Believe me, there are other attractive people in the world. Tons of them. Take a sniff next time they take a shit. You will be surprised to find it doesn't smell like flowers. They are just another human being and they are easily replaced.
Actually, Misanthrope "till" is acceptable.

ReplyDeletesometimes it's circumstance that collects us. and i wonder if it's about reconnecting with the self or about just maintaining the network... maintaining the sense of security. if you go to a lot of trouble to build a relationship and it ends, why throw it out completely? it's like an insurance policy where you make small regular payments in case you ever need it.
grace, i think your guy may be doing that. i have a "friend" who has been making lunch plans with me for months now and backing out each time. we were never involved but have a history (which is all i can say). there is opportunity now for us to become involved. we have spent months flirting with the possibility. for whatever reason, he needs to keep the potential alive but is not needing the reality. i still like him but at this point i like him more in the way i would feel toward a puppy than a grown man. your guy reminds me of a puppy too.
Sometimes keeping the fantasy alive is all that's needed for satisfaction. It seems we spend a fair amount of time fantasizing, part of human nature?
DeleteMaybe the fantasy is actually better than what the reality would be?
On the other hand, maybe he's not a puppy at all, and you should go for it.
DeleteMaybe he's 'hiding' behind the puppy facade, and he's actually intense and amazing.
Yes..I get words mixed up like that sometimes but I catch it if I proof it. Are you going to be ok Misanthrope? Don't get picky now..it's Friday night!
ReplyDeleteGrace

You're my daily amusement, UKan.
'your guy reminds me of a puppy too.'
ReplyDeleteGrace can bathe him then.
And you, you are hopelessly waiting for a real date by someone who keeps ditching? Get a life.
i can't leave this site behind because it's so completely heart-warming.
ReplyDelete'why a sociopath who has ended a relationship would still go through a great deal of effort to ensure that contact is never cut off completely.'
ReplyDeleteIt's in socio's best interest to never cut off completely. This doe snot mean he has to show any effort to sustain the contact, just let the other side break up by ignoring her/him. And, get back if and when you need anything. Let s/he serve when you need service. Don't let anywhere near you otherwise.
It is truly a shame that you won't confront your superiority complex, Ukan. I suspect you'd be far more interesting and less than just amusement for us. Infact, I'd say you might even earn some respect.
ReplyDeleteBut that's neither nor there, as I can realize you don't care about anything beyond yourself. Which leads me to conclude that you'll be stuck in this scenario for the rest of your time here at Sociopathworld.
"Don't get picky now..it's Friday night!"
ReplyDeleteI'll stop now.
While where on the topic of cigarettes,(sort of) does anyone else here smoke Marlboro Red? I like them and buy them fairley often because their strong, but I always get this nasty chemical taste everytime I inhale. Is it just me?
Marb Reds are pretty much the equivalent of what Budweiser is to beer. Cheap, not great tasting, nor very satisfying compared to many other brands that are only slightly more pricey.
ReplyDeleteNatural American Spirit products are nicer smokes and aren't a lot more expensive. If you want something upper-crust, you can look into Nat Shermans.
I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones I have experience with.

i go for roll-ups.
ReplyDeleteotherwise, the cheapest straights, mayfair etc.
class is a state of mind my friends.~
otherwise, i splash out on some marlboro menthols. lol.
i'm not fussy.
american spirits are more expensive than marlboro reds but they taste much better and a pack will last nearly twice as long, partially because they don't have added chemicals to keep them burning quickly and partially because there is more tobacco to each cigarette.
ReplyDeleteThey're bigger smokes and they pack more of a punch.
ReplyDeleteI can chain-smoke normal smokes with relative ease, but after two or three American Spirits, I am Done.
With Nat Sherman, it depends which type. Black & Golds are probably the smoothest cigarettes I've ever had the pleasure of smoking, and could smoke those all day long. MCDs on the other hand are lovely, but more robust and bold.
but I always get this nasty chemical taste everytime I inhale. Is it just me?
ReplyDeleteNo. It's your body telling you to quit.
Do yourself a favor and kill yourself now because lung cancer is slow and unfathomable. After your lungs get invaded it will go to your brain and then your bones. Not to mention the phycological symtoms you’ll experience before you even get diagnosed. Forget sociopathy altogether. Smoke a joint everyday instead and then buy a new car with your money.
Sorry couldn't help that.

All though certainly not exclusive, it is a very common inclination in sociopathy. Realizing where you screwed up and adapting right away with not feelings hurt.

ReplyDeleteI only get that chemical taste with Reds. I have no intention of quiting, ever.
I like roll ups but they're just to much hassle.
Yes Zoe. That sounds like him. The fantasy in his head was more interesting than the reality. I was a fool.

I'm not a sociopath Notable. I think you know that. I'm just professional about things like that. I was very sensitive when I was younger and now I've learned that learning something useful about me is more important to me than whatever bad feelings I get, especially if it’s true. That's how I have to be and it's worked out better for me. But I'm still bubbly, warm and very intuitive..no doubt. Just your type:)
ReplyDeleteGrace
I've learned not to read the comments on these posts, so maybe someones already said this, but this is total bullshit. Sociopathic nostalgia is a joke at best. The only advantage to knowing an ex is to maintain your control over their actions in rwgard to the information they've obtained from you. You have to maintain your power over them to the extent that they continue to promote your reputation, and they can be used to do this when such an occasion arises if necessary.
ReplyDeleteI learned I was a sociopath when I tried to sell the devil my soul, for a large sum. Apparently you can't sell him something you don't have.

ReplyDeleteAnd on a second note, this new me is bull shit. The bitter condescension is not amusing, informative, novel or intelligent. It displays emotions and weakness in general through many of these posts, such as the earlier post about pathetic human stampedes.
ReplyDeleteApparently you can't sell him something you don't have.
ReplyDeleteThe problem was that you were selling to a fictional character. In my experience, it is very easy to sell things you don't have.
Oh, snuggle bear *cough* I mean UKan, you're about as opaque as cellophane. I wonder if you're really that stupid or just playing it off as such. Regardless, I'm entertained. Keep it up old sport.
ReplyDelete@Grace: I know you aren't a sociopath, not even close. I was just observing your comment and found it adorable. Warmed my little black heart. ^_^
re: warmed my little black heart---same here. :) i found myself smiling, and i don't know why, but it's nice. (and i'm not even involved in this exchange!)
ReplyDeleteFirst: snuggle bear *cough* I mean UKan
ReplyDeleteSrsly?
Second: Warmed my little black heart.
Stop copying me.~
Are you really that blind, Postmodern Sociopath? I've clearly overestimated you. Pity.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a pity is that you assume that every Anon is UKan. A safe strategy if you keep it to yourself, but it makes you look like an idiot when you scream it everyday.
ReplyDeleteKeep crying wolf, and no one will believe you when he really bares his teeth.
@postmodern, you are correct. I guess I was thinking if I sold something that doesn't exist to someone that doesn't exist then I wouldn't have to listen to any yapping, or expend any energy on manipulation. I am very picky about where and how much energy I use.
ReplyDeleteYour deflection from the obvious is amusing. You're either completely blind or too wrapped up in being right and saving face. Are you sober?
ReplyDeleteIt's like talking to a child. I wash my hands of you.
ReplyDeleteFor my amusement, why not give some evidence rather than just squealing and skittering about like a cockroach?
boys boys, go cook a cat.
ReplyDeletenot mine, i'll have you for supper.
Paranoid Not Able? I already played that game with you. If I did it again....well maybe you would fall for it, but it wouldn't be as amusing.
ReplyDeleteI don't plan on shedding the superiorty complex. Its too fun to watch people like you get upset by it.
Being condescending is a sociopathworld tradition. Why even participate if not for this?
Like talking to a child as opposed to actually talking to a child. You're adorable. But I'll indulge you.
ReplyDeleteI've learned not to read the comments on these posts, so maybe someones already said this, but this is total bullshit. Sociopathic nostalgia is a joke at best*. The only advantage to knowing an ex is to maintain your control** over their actions in rwgard to the information they've obtained from you. You have to maintain your power over them*** to the extent that they continue to promote your reputation****, and they can be used to do this when such an occasion arises if necessary
*Gross condescension, classic UKan trait.
**Almost word for word on his past commentary for dealing with people.
***Constantly talking about maintaining power over others, more classic UKan commentary
****Do I really even need to comment on how important reputation is to him?
The fact that all the points were hit in a single paragraph was highly amusing, as was the anonymous moniker.
It's nice to see the usual pissing contest.
ReplyDeletePMS, why is it that you think this Anon is not Ukan? (Let me guess, your reply, in a few words, is, "burden of proof"?)
I'm personally neutral. It's very tedious around here.
Not Able you made yourself look even more stupid and blind. Why bother tricking you when you trick yourself daily.
ReplyDeleteCare to back that up with any form of proof, U-K-poo? All I see is, "NUH UH UR WRONG!"
ReplyDeleteI suppose that sort of deflection works with most of your idiotic subordinates.
"Not Able you made yourself look even more stupid and blind. Why bother tricking you when you trick yourself daily."
ReplyDeleteAssuming you're the anon, this is terrible reverse-psychology. Just saying, broski.
@2: Because it was me, of course.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell if that was tongue-in-cheek or not. Since you didn't use your special sarcasm sign, I'm guessing you were being serious?
ReplyDeleteA gentleman never asks and a lady never tells, my dear 2.
ReplyDeletePseudoelusivity is not attractive, PMS.
ReplyDeleteDon't make this hard for me, sonnie.
I'm not anon or snuggle, and you are just like the last 2 who couldn't tell what the fuck was going on. Why would I post under another name and keep my personality and opinion? How do you even think that would be my opinion? Someone who hates condescending conversations? Learn to read first before you go into reading between the lines.
ReplyDelete"Why would I post under another name and keep my personality and opinion?"
ReplyDeleteBecause you habitually engage in this and later admit to it and joke that it was because you were high?
That's why.
I wonder if anyone takes anything you say seriously. I do so enjoy the UKan comedy hour. I need to grab some popcorn.
"...you are just like the last 2 who couldn't tell what the fuck was going on."
ReplyDeleteIRONY ALERT.
PMS: Ha ha brilliant
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable. Playground insults coupled by playground deception tactics. You two should have a syndicated show.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Irony Alert indeed. Better make that DEFCON 5!
Don't make this hard for me, sonnie.
ReplyDelete2, you know you love it when PMS makes you hard. Talk about reverse psychology. lols
Stop it. You're making me feel sexually confused, Anon. Almost pedophilliacal. . .~
ReplyDelete2, are you a Free Mason and/or Socialist by chance?
ReplyDeleteFooling Medusa while your stoned is challenging. Fooling you even if I was in a coma would be a walk in the park. You have made that quite clear.
ReplyDeleteNo.
ReplyDeleteKeep looking the other way, Anon.
tl;dr
ReplyDeleteI'm smarter than the average bear and kiss Medusa's ass. Rawr sociopath!
I'm beginning to see a pattern. You must have more experience intimidating people with brute force than intellect. You're mentally atrophied.
mentally atrophied? I like that one. I'm going to use that one...on who I don't know:) Going to have a brewski.
ReplyDeleteGrace
When you say anything about my intelligence you only make yourself look worse. Even if I was a fool how would that make you look, considering I've played you time and time again? Not Able you are like my punching bag. You stay in here reguardless of how much abuse you are given and for that I will give you credit. Your like the kid at school that everyone keeps around so they can have someone to make fun of and laugh at.
ReplyDeleteNotAble..., lol. That's the best thing I heard about you, theNotable.... The Notable NotAble... The NotAble Notable. Stick to your own blog, you appear more respectable there, get out of here before you commit yourself voluntarily.
ReplyDeleteHello, any Notable self-respect out there?
TheNotablePath is the only one here i'd have sex with.
ReplyDeleteAll you others are blatant losers, especially 'Ukan whatever'
what the fuck is this place. a cess-pool for losers????????????
You play the class clown and the bully here, both objects of amusement and zero respect. You're so blinded by your own self-import you don't even realize that people don't take you seriously. Your trademark "abuse" is belittling, name calling, and insults with no merit for the sake of insulting. Your very approach to attack on the internet is laughable and they only reason that no one's called you out on it before is because you are such a hilarious disaster that we want to keep you around. I want to keep you around.
ReplyDeleteI'm not your punching bag, dear, I'm the matador and you're the bloodied bull, showing just how wounded and ineffective you really are. Your respect and reputation is moot here, and the fact that you even tried to build one is laughable. I'm here for fun and knowledge, not image. I don't care about your respect, faceless angry little man. I care about your explosions of anger and insults while I laugh at them as I push your buttons.
@UKan
ReplyDeleteI find you sexy. I don't know why anyone engages in these arguments, only to increase the count of comments by scores on trivialities. Let's go play with my nipples. =)

I enjoyed this quote from
snugglebear:
"The only advantage to knowing an ex is to maintain your control over their actions in rwgard (sic) to the information they've obtained from you."
im not a loser :( hahah yeah i agree notablepath making fun of someone online is just redonculus and ad on the fact that they are a socio.........well i dont even know the point

ReplyDeleteYes Zoe. That sounds like him. The fantasy in his head was more interesting than the reality. I was a fool.
not a fool. how could you have known? the fantasy in his head is his reality. he probably can't help himself. i mean probably that's the best he can offer. the friend i mentioned also has some serious time management issues. i have family like that. everything is tomorrow, never today. they are late for everything. getting mad is a waste of time.
just skimmed over the comments and now am craving a beer.
To Dreamer - I doubt anyone wants to play with any part of you. I don't and I'm a touchy feely kind of person.

ReplyDeletesociopaths should have more fun!!!
more fun!!!
less comments on comments, more comments on posts...
faceless angry little man i see you
ReplyDeleteZoe! Is that a shit flinging monkey?
ReplyDeleteCommenting on the post:
ReplyDeleteI would think that sociopaths would not differ that much from the way that others handle relationship changes. When relationships change, there are some situations where you may feel the need to completely sever contact, and other times you don't feel the need to be that extreme.
'Commenting on the post'
ReplyDeletethere's no room for originality like that here Aerianne.~
notme: Did you have your cigar?
ReplyDeleteSorry~
ReplyDeleteOh, and for anyone who missed it, I was not snuggly grizzly. Just thought you ought to know.
ReplyDeleteI pick up foreign languages very quickly and naturally (re: I master most languages in a matter of months). English is neither my first nor second language. However, I had to make a concerted effort to acquire another person's body language and other such subtleties when I have intuitively mastered them myself. But we all know that correlation does not causation make, haha. My, how we do go on about things almost completely unrelated to M.E.'s post.
ReplyDeleteno Note, i haven't had my cigar yet.

ReplyDeleteI don't know about everyone else here, but TNP, don't ever pretend to speak for me again.
This 'us' and 'we' crap is so weak, especially when there has been no consensus whatsoever on opinion about Ukan. In fact, you are the only one with a username that has this opinion as far as I know. Is this an attempt at some fantasy gang-up-on-Ukan, since it seems you can't best him on your own? I hate that 'speak for everyone else' shit. So weak and cowardly.
Also, for a sociopath, you really aren't very good at reading people.
I've noticed you are quite pissy lately. Like you are trying to save some identity of yours that has been shown to you to be false. Or something, I don't know.
On the rag indeed, like a girl trying for Alpha male status.
I am smoking Nat Sherman Lights this week. Dumb choice. I have to cut the filters by 2/3rds to get any draw out of them. Plus I bought them in a high sales tax state. Over 10 bones a pack.
ReplyDeleteOn topic, I am not a nostalgic person really at all. Doesn't really bother me much at all when people leave my life, except for pride or reputation's sake, but I never really miss them. I'm only truly bothered if it was a dude I really liked or was really hot. Otherwise, whatever.
The fact that you put yourself in the category of people I would consider relevant is highly amusing.
ReplyDeleteOn the rag indeed, like a girl trying for Alpha male status.
This is positively dripping with irony, coming from you.
@notme: Awww, I was looking forward to hearing about the experience :) Do let me know when you finally have one. Make sure to be drinking something nice with it, such as a whiskey or scotch.
ReplyDeleteI think NotAble's on the ropes. He's lashing out in all directions now. What a lovely show. Shame I have to get some sleep. I'm loath to miss it. Ah, well. Carry on, girls.~
ReplyDeleteBut, but, I'm having too much fun blogging, PMS.

ReplyDeleteAnd, No one, I raise you Baby Kitten Meows.
or this
ReplyDeletehaha that's perfect
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that, Aerianne. That made my day, darlin'.
ReplyDelete2, I call your Baby Kitten Meows, and raise you an overly ambitious cat

ReplyDeleteI find that it is something in others that people want. Unfortunatly, nobody can keep pretending to be something they are not.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunatly, nobody can keep pretending to be something they are not.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you say that?
^ Case in point.
ReplyDeleteCome on TNP, if you have to ask that question, you already know the answer.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you find so amusing UKan?
ReplyDeleteYou and medusas comment, and The Total Gaffes ability to constantly set himself up.
ReplyDeleteTNP is ok, he just needs to be himself.
ReplyDeleteStop been so nasty UKan.
If I couldn't get nasty I would be trying to be someone I'm not, madam.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows Ukan is really just a big soft teddy bear deep down <3
ReplyDeleteAwww :D That mental image is adorable.
ReplyDeleteIf I couldn't get nasty I would be trying to be someone I'm not, madam.
ReplyDeleteMadam? hehehe.
I'm sure there are times when you pretend to be something your not Ukan.
I can clear up this whole mixup on two comments. I'm snuggly grizzly. I'm relatively new, though I've slipped in and out before and I am not ukan, or pms-ing, so notable is again is found unable... and borderline paranoid delusional. Although I do agree with one thing he said about ukan in regard to his attention seeking, I think he consistantly displays a blatant misunderstanding of ukans power and has probably never really know or been smart enough to understand a sociopath. He may be smarter than your average othead, but I think we all know even that is a stretch.
ReplyDeleteSo I hope that this cleared up all your suspicions. I really am just a new character on this charade.
Sincerely snuggles
Oh, and by the way notable, the fact that you literally respond to every attack in a defensive and personal refute displays your insecurity and general conversational "prowess". The funny thing is, you're still going to do it and throw out random attacks at anyone because your afraid of a little ukan laughing. But for good reason. Everyones laughing with him, not you.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, people. Who the fuck cares?
ReplyDeletePersonally I try to have as little contact with my ex's as possible. I learn from my mistakes and move on. Their simply not worth thinking about and wasting a good mood for a bad memory. Strangers and friends of friends sure, but ex's can fuck off
ReplyDeleteA gallery of fools. How pathetic. None of you are a true sociopath. You're far too ignorant. Here we only have wannabes and never weres. That's quite obvious.
ReplyDeleteAllow me ,a true sociopath, to share with you the realities of this condition.
1. A real sociopath never cares what others think of him/her. We only care about ourselves, what we think, what our opinions are and how much control we can exert over you.
Proving anything whatsoever to you concerning our worth? Is very much a joke! We could really care less what you think or feel about us or anything else for that matter.
2. There are generally 2 types of sociopaths and some of us switch between the two: hyper intelligent and deeply ignorant. Allow me to explain:
We are about extremes. This behavior is exactly what attracts the types of people we find satisfactory. The very nature of our condition is extreme. There is no middle ground. We avoid it at all costs.
Here's why: The middle ground means mediocrity. It's not dramatic enough therefore leaving us bored and feeling impotent. Also because it is boring, uneventful and lacks excitement. It doesn't attract the appropriate types of pray.
So know that a sociopath acts either very ignorant OR very intelligent. In order to manipulate the pray around us. We are chameleons. We set traps using the bait our type of victims love. We're masters at figuring you out quickly and ,if you fit the bill, catching you for our pleasure. It's a game we must win and we love playing.
We choose the right types of pray. So down to earth, intelligent and truly grounded people? Are off limits! They're too self aware, questioning and assertive.
Flakes, empathetic and lost souls are often pray of choice. Egotistical idiots, co dependents, followers needing a leader, ignorant intellectuals. All of them prime cuts for us.
3. You are here for us to use and eventually discard. When we're through? You're tossed aside like garbage. It's nothing personal (never is). We're simply done with you. We do not look back, we do not care and we do not even remember your name 99% of the time.
I literally cannot remember the names of nearly every single woman I've ever used. Only the current womans name means something. This is because remembering hers gets me exactly what I desire as of now.
4. Real sociopaths ,like myself, are happy being a sociopath. We could really care less about how others feel. We enjoy our so called cold existence. It's all we know.
"Sociopaths really are hurting deep down inside and want to change if given a chance"? Nonsense!
True sociopaths don't want to change. Most don't even believe they have a problem. We love every minute of it. It's who we are. We feel in total control of our lives using this method. Anything less is unacceptable.
5. We don't need you. You could disappear tomorrow and we could care less. We're not prone to being controlled in any way, shape or form. We are survivalists. Trust us we would live if the human race disappeared tomorrow. We are far too self serving and self absorbed not to. At the very least? We'd give it a damn good shot!
We don't need you in some round about way either. You're mistaking us for someone who gives a shit or has feelings like your own. Trust me we don't. We simply use you because you're nearby, you're convenient or we're bored and desire something you possess.
Otherwise we would go on without you just fine. Because ,again, we don't possess feelings like you do. Getting it now?
That's only the tip of the iceburg.
I've read just one post here which resembles that of a true sociopath. I'm certainly not going to share with you which one that is. Because lets face it: Why would "I" give "you" the satisfaction?
Tell me, is it so dangerous, really, to humiliate a sociopath?
Deletefreak
DeleteWould the real sociopath please stand up? :-)
ReplyDeletehey now - just read that old anon sep 29 2012 10:08pm post.
ReplyDeletethx, was grumpy but that rant is very funny: "We choose the right types of pray. So down to earth, intelligent and truly grounded people? Are off limits! They're too self aware, questioning and assertive."
"pray" hahaha - what a twerp, not so "intelligent and truly grounded", eh?
if you cannot spell 'prey' then go away (poet and know it). my guess is that was a narc not a soc. imploded by now, no doubt.
Yes, agreed 5:55. Actually, I read it at the time and think I took it at face value but looking at that again, it was a rant. And not a clever one...
DeleteDownshift for end-of-year.
great post M.E. totally makes sense, i think i grew up with one, we are like familia, and for some reason he wont let me go. just stares at me. omg, the stares. but this is mafia family. he's successful now, but every few years he can do something, and has to go in protection. god dam, i just wish he sticks with the little family he has. they are his everything, his possessions, his loves (yes true love) a good women, a beautiful child. i don't wanna see him screw it up - getting into situations that could end it for him. i kick his ass if he does. see its a family socio kinda care. if he does anything to jeopardize it, i will whip him, hahah (jokes) jokes.
ReplyDeletei witness him as a young boy all throughout childhood. this little boy could fight em all off. but this little boy is grown up now, and there's bigger people than him in this world - that would enjoy nothing more to screw him over. he needs to know when to submit and be content. play his cards right. he will win this way and always have his family.
ReplyDeleteM.E. You need to stop recycling old posts and post new things.
ReplyDeletei do enjoy her recycled posts, some of us haven't seen it also. she's probably busy, maybe theres an auto thing to do this, there's always new people who come into this. so yes recycle them, plus the new is good as well. but she probably is busy with other things. :)
ReplyDeleteMy ties are for the most part, cut. However only a little down to those last strings i can reattach if i so need to, to bring them off their shelves.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you never know when one is useful...
