America the sociopath?

Better late than never?
Now, I've heard the impact of these releases on our foreign policy described as a meltdown, as a game-changer, and so on. I think -- I think those descriptions are fairly significantly overwrought. The fact is, governments deal with the United States because it's in their interest, not because they like us, not because they trust us, and not because they believe we can keep secrets. Many governments -- some governments deal with us because they fear us, some because they respect us, most because they need us. We are still essentially, as has been said before, the indispensable nation.
— Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates on the Wikileaks scandal, November 30, 2010

  1. thats frighteninly self aware for a yank, still refreshing though.

historically all empires are sociopathic, in fact much of what we do in our combined efforts as a species is

    this is worth watching

  2. I just watched that documentary last week. Someone here mentioned it as well, I think it was Misanthrope.

Was cool to see after having seen the sociopathic relevance in the above quote, which I sent in several weeks ago.

  6. Humans do what they have to do to survive. When you have a lot of them huddled together it becomes the responsibility of the larger governing body to keep it's members alive and thriving if possible. If for no other reason than the selfish drive of officials to maintain their own base of power and lifestyle. Necessity indeed.

In a world that is globally interconnected and interdependent having the most resources is key. The more others must rely on us, the more power we have over them which contributes to ensuring our own survival. Other countries will be forced to come to our aid if need be, to maintain their own needs. Need to power.

  7. I remember his post when I was then able to context clue it for the slower readers here who couldn't stomach it. I completely agree with this and it is no wonder. What I find most disturbing about some socio readers here is their lack of understanding that someone JUST like them already made it to the top of their government and tweaked.

  19. So you know Hopeful Path is a spin on Notable Path. You fucking birds are so caught up in being critisized that you want all the abuse on you.
You want to hope that there's still good in sociopaths. Its hilarious. Then you tell us how easily you can spot a sociopath. Ha ha ha ha. You marks are typical. You line yourselves up so we can knock you down again.
I know what you tell yourself. "I'm smarter this time. I won't get hurt like that again."
Your wrong. Your so ripe for the picking you are almost falling off the tree.

  25. what's pl0x?

'You have to believe there's a good side don't you. Hopeful Path.'
    Ukan, yesterday. 11.06 pm

Those two sentences side by side were a mistake if you were aiming to be understood. I knew i wasn't Hopeful Path which is why i asked you to clarify.
    Stop fabricating.

I 'want to hope there's still good in sociopaths?'
Again, you're fabricating. You have no idea what my hopes and thoughts are. (Oh, and this time, if you wanna misquote me, cite it's location. Don't make up something I supposedly said and then refuse to justify it when you're asked.)
FYI, I don't live in hope, I live in reality, not that you'll believe me. Who cares though.

As to the rest of your comment today, mere conjecture on your part. And wouldn't you just love to be right on those points.

    Enough now, I'm bored.

    ReplyDelete
  26. You clearly care...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Clarification: The one who cares clearly indicated they did not care if YOU cared. The good doctor prescribes a healthy amount of selfishness, not too much though.

Reality: This blog is a sociopath blog. If humanity REALLY felt threatened by sociopaths as much as the sociopath would crave them to then most of you would already be dead and the blog would sit idle until the domain was past due.

Disbelief: There really IS someone smarter than yourself. Your self importance is disgusting to anyone with a worthy mind, but I'm not implying you should care as my odds are better if you do not.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't care about Robert Gates. I still like Assange. And if he didn't have a fairly good dose of socio in him, I doubt he would have been able to do what he did. It takes a certain amount of fearlessness---possibly a focus on revenge--to out something this huge. He's a hacker from way back. Now he's found a (nominally) acceptable purpose for it.

    Nice game. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Are you kidding? I feel sorry for Assange sometimes. During his scheming he'll be looking in the mirror and reciting to himself the days when the media couldn't figure out exactly how to paint him to force people to hate him. That has to be stressful. One day he's gay, the next week he raped a woman in a different country, then later he's a sociopath trying to bring the entire system down when really he's a CIA (or other agency) puppet but only then does he feel useful.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't go off what people say Notme. I dig deeper than that. If I knew you needed to explain yourself when I misconstruct sentences I would do it more just to get you defensive.

    ReplyDelete
  31. He is an angry geek not a sociopath, if you want to look up to a proper sociopath look to the people at the top, not the ones fighting for the lesser man, there are no good sociopaths, as someone said before we are much more similar to the joker than Dexter.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Whatever, you know. It's a great way to combat boredom. And I doubt that Assange cares what the media are making of him. For one thing, he's most likely off on a new project. For another--anh, publicity, it all works--even when it's bad. Sometimes especially then.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I just spit in my aunts soup ha ha, she should know not to argue with me.

    ReplyDelete
  34. cum in it next time.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Lol, i love doing shit like that, they come back into the room and your just sitting there giggling.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I could agree with you on Assange's personal thoughts, not that it matters. What matters is he is not "off on another project" as you imagine him (free) (heroic) (magical sociopath above the law). He's a slave to the system you don't feel the need to belong to, because they pay him well and don't pull on his leash too tightly.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I called that Rape Advice Line earlier today.

    Unfortunately, it's only for victims.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I can't imagine that the system is paying him much of anything. :D They probably want to swat him like a fly. I haven't looked into Wikileaks funding source, but most likely it isn't coming from the government or the usual suspects in terms of media.

The publicity works in his favor, then. For every person who says, "Assange--he's a rapist, or gay, or a sociopath, or..." (fill in the blank,) another will say, "I'm glad this is out. I don't care about his personal life. Maybe I'll shoot him a donation."

He's funded to do what he loves for a while. He's always worked under the radar too. As I said--he's likely off on a new one.

    Happy gaming, Assange.

Is the USA a sociopath nation?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Medusa, on Assange while I cannot speak on my sources, I know for certain that Assange is not a friend of the USA.

I also know that he's no threat to the USA, because the government literally could stop him with relative ease.

The whole WIkileaks operation is likely just a falseflag. If you are a hacker, it will only lead to one or two possibilities, either you'll be recruited by the feds or you'll go to prison.

Most accept their role as informants and end up hacking for the feds. As a result the feds have the best hackers, at the same time they have the occasional traitor like Bradley Manning.

Never trust a hacker. Never trust a cop or a fed. And certainly don't trust Julian Assange.

  62. Interesting, Savagelight. Nor am I surprised.

Gonna delete my previous comment on the subject in case it gets someone in trouble.

    You never know.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Haven't watched the video yet...but do you know for certain that Project Monarch isn't just some unfounded conspiracy theory?

From what little I read the only evidence is testimony from a lady with DID.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Medusa why don't you look up MKUltra.

Better yet, watch the whole series of videos and decide for yourself.

MKUltra and COINTELPRO are proven facts. The documents were released to prove it. Project Monarch is probably still classified or it's just so dangerous that they'll never be able to release it. It's details on the governments torture experiments.

We know for a fact the government is torturing and assassinating people. We don't know how they developed the technology to do it, and thats what Project Monarch is about. Logically a government would have to have tested their weapons on someone, so it's probably true but I can't confirm without a doubt.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh my. Cointelpro, sure. It's been an open secret for a while. But the use of microwaves to drive a target insane?

I had a schizophrenic friend who believed that she had been implanted at birth by some undetectable device and that this is what made her susceptible to covert governmental control. This is suspiciously similar to that.

Cointelpro works, in part, by smearing their target's personal lives across the media. (It's a little more prosaic than mind control through microwave.) Of course, this is being done in Assange's case. Unfortunately, he's given them a certain amount of material to use against him.

It may backfire--and it may backfire badly. Not many would have known about his outings of various massacres if his personal adventures weren't also being broadcast.

No one knows for certain if he's been enlisted by the feds. I doubt that he would still be speaking about the massacres if this were so---and he still is.

My point about Assange is that he defies moral category. If he had more fear of consequences, he might not be actively womanizing or ripping off those condoms during sex (this is the heart of the rape charge, btw.) But he also might have been too timid to out illegal military activities on a wide scale.

  66. Ha ha ha ha, sociopaths, bow at my feet. I am a darkopath, the next evolution in so-called sociopathic... evolution. I am better, faster, stronger, and more evil than you could ever be. In fact, I'm so evil that I'm good sometimes... and so brilliant that such a statement actually makes sense to me. Where you prey among sheep, wearing their hides as camouflage, I prey among the wolves, wearing an overpriced suit and awkward, pointy shoes. You can kid yourselves into thinking that you are better, but I am the best of both worlds... truly selfless when I stand to lose nothing, and utterly ruthless when it won't stir up too much trouble.

As awesome as I am, I am not the only one of my kind. Nor am I the only one of my kind who reads this blog. Quiver now... quiver in fear as you try in vain to discover who we are!

  69. I don't know. *Shrugs.* I still like Assange. In a previous entry, someone was wondering how something good could be accomplished with mal-intent. There it is in a nutshell: Assange.

I still like him. I hope he's out having fun hacking away. It would be nice if he got that little "have-to-have-sex-without-a-condom" problem under control, though.

I would kick him out of my bed---and possibly harm him afterwards--but I don't think I'd file a rape charge.

Thanks for the introduction to Hugh and Laurie. I've been riffling through the suggestion list on the side--I love the psychiatrist sketch. The bread in the shoes--okay. The letters to the editor--time for a straitjacket. :)
