I'm not great at face reading. Grew up in a culture where you didn't look other people in the eye when you talked, unless you wanted to get bloody. Pretty good handle on other body language and tone, though.
lol i thought you might argue it to the hilt. I don't know for sure, there's no proof, but I know i'm good with subtleties.
actually i wanted to post a link to a facial recognition test to see how you guys would do with it. do you want me to? and do you like my kitty-kat? :)
That face is more 'oops' and 'what punishment may come I deserve now' as in slight sadness for what will come for him next. Of course he'll get away with it and may even learn to make himself look as the hero who was trying to save the cat.
This woman I know killed a cat by throwing him at the wall and then upon seeing other people's reactions to the cat (people had no idea how the cat had died) she realized taking care of cats was a quick and cheap way of appearing like a hero. She still has a lot of cats in her backyard).

First thing, wipe that look off your face. I don't know what the fuck your problem is, and I don't care. Personality Based on your reponses on our persoanlity questionnaire, you indicated you are someone who is extraverted, not very agreeable, not very open, not very conscientious, and somewhat anxious.
Mind in the eye You correctly identified 29 out of 36 emotions. Based on the results we have so far, the average person who takes this test is able to identify 26 out of 36 emotions. Your percentile score was 80, meaning you scored higher than 80% of people who took this test.

It tells me that I'm not conscientious but I largely am driven towards success, but i have a hard time actually aquiring the power in the long run, i guess i don't give a fuck if i get it or not, oh the joys of having no conscience :)

"The data has been inconsistent... "The Eyes Test is also interesting because of its known anatomical correlates. Thus, a recent functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging study showed that presentation of the task produced increased activation in several areas, including the dorsolateral prefrontal and the left medial frontal cortices, the superior temporal gyrus, and the left amygdala. The finding of amygdala activation is of particular interest given the extensive literature suggesting amygdala dysfunction in psychopathy. Thus, if the Eyes Test requires the involvement of the amygdala, and psychopathy reflects amygdala dysfunction, it should be predicted that individuals with psychopathy will perform poorly on the Eyes Test."

i disagree Adam, some of the eye ones were very tricky.
JB, what do you mean what does it mean? It means what it says, dammit. ;) ok, it probably means you only pick up what is relevant to you personally - only what you need to use from people to appeal to your own interests. In both I was reading the eyes as much more positive than what it was, so clearly showing my erring on the trusting side.

Whats all that suppossed to say? I'm human afterall?
Lmao. I was arguing with myself during the "Mind in the Eyes" portion. Some of those depictions were ambiguous in their meaning.
I kidd you not on these results:

----------
I have an eidetic memory, so the faces portion was easy. The "Mind in the Eyes", however, I scored higher on than previously thought. I know I'm good at reading faces and body language, but I never thought I learned so much from human eye contact. Good tip I got from my friend in middle school, I suppose.
The picture for the article is also ambiguous. The child shows no actual remorse in his face. His mouth knows what to do because he sees this around him, but he does not have the life experience to complete the face. So, either:
A) He had no attachment to said animal, or...
B) He's a budding sociopath.
There's really no way to tell, but here are the facts. His inner eyebrows are not raised to match the curled lower lip. His eyelids do not falter and the muscles around his eyes (upper cheeks) do not change. The boy is not feeling remorse or real sadness in this picture. It is superficial.
By the way Loki, something of interest came up in the comment section of my latest blog. I'd be interested to see how you relate to it. Thus far out of the people I've contacted of the spectrum, only one hasn't matched it.
If you ask me, this kid looks like his parents just found the dead animal. He looks kind of like: "oh well, I didn't mean to do it.Was I a bad boy? Did I disappoint something? I guess maybe I shouldn't do that again? "
I got extraverted, open, agreeable, conscientious, neither anxious nor calm. 70% on eyes, and 95% on faces. I consider myself an empath with some slight narc/socio tendencies on occasion.
His eyes goes well with the background.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone heard Christian bales rant? Classic narc rage, he has been one of those child stage kids all his life so it was pretty obvious.
ReplyDeleteSo was tiger woods but hes a robot.
ReplyDeleteNote, we scored almost the same in percentages. though i got you by two points. but obviously you can read faces...
ReplyDeleteyeah, i guessed a couple of the eye ones too.
Now we can be testing buddies :P Can't associate with the lesser creatures, after all...

ReplyDeletedeadly acid... deteriorating normal locks...

I'd go for an acid proof lock.
ReplyDeleteFUCK, I left a shitload of comments on a psychopath awareness site, they all got deleted.

ReplyDeleteMe: What's wrong?
Child: Nothing...
Me: Good.
Child: Can I get a Sociopath World t-shirt now?
or
Me: What's wrong?

Me: Good.
Child: If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed. Albert Einstein said that Daddy.
And the funny thing is Einstein was quite ruthless.

Whats all that suppossed to say? I'm human afterall?
Your not an aspie.
ReplyDeleteLmao. I was arguing with myself during the "Mind in the Eyes" portion. Some of those depictions were ambiguous in their meaning.
ReplyDeleteI kidd you not on these results:

----------
I have an eidetic memory, so the faces portion was easy. The "Mind in the Eyes", however, I scored higher on than previously thought. I know I'm good at reading faces and body language, but I never thought I learned so much from human eye contact. Good tip I got from my friend in middle school, I suppose.
Nooooooooooooooooo! how could you Loki??
ReplyDeleteyou make kitty-cat sad :(
The picture for the article is also ambiguous. The child shows no actual remorse in his face. His mouth knows what to do because he sees this around him, but he does not have the life experience to complete the face. So, either:
ReplyDeleteA) He had no attachment to said animal, or...
Loki, what are you, bloody Rainman?
ReplyDeleteyou remind me of Holmes...
How about C?
ReplyDeleteHe was told to pose for a picture and can't fake emotions very well because he's really an aspie!
Oh, the plot thickens..
By the way Loki, something of interest came up in the comment section of my latest blog. I'd be interested to see how you relate to it. Thus far out of the people I've contacted of the spectrum, only one hasn't matched it.
ReplyDeleteI still suspect he killed the cat
ReplyDeleteAren't we brilliant?
ReplyDeleteBtw notme,
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't me who wrote that comment in nopaths blog.
oh ok. hmm, i wonder who it was...
ReplyDeleteI think I know
ReplyDeleteoh really? please share.
ReplyDeletei wonder what happened to the second half of that guys story from the other day.
I haven't been here in a awhile and to read through what/who I've missed seems daunting.
ReplyDeleteTry 2 different face recog tests:
ReplyDeleteIt's a pain in the ass, but telling.
First one while attempting to learn a complex combination of physical movements.
Second, right after someone scares the shit out of you.
IF you're looking for aspie types do the same thing while adding up numbers. the higher the fear, the better at calculating.
ReplyDeleteIf you ask me, this kid looks like his parents just found the dead animal. He looks kind of like: "oh well, I didn't mean to do it.Was I a bad boy? Did I disappoint something? I guess maybe I shouldn't do that again? "

ReplyDeleteLoss Of Cat Child's First Real Experience With Death, Killing
Did he kill the cat?
A pic like this on this blog? Of course he killed the cat
There is too much life in his eyes, he wouldn't hurt a fly.
ReplyDeleteIt was accidental. Like in "Mice and Men"
ReplyDeleteI got extraverted, open, agreeable, conscientious, neither anxious nor calm. 70% on eyes, and 95% on faces. I consider myself an empath with some slight narc/socio tendencies on occasion.
ReplyDeletewho are you? hilarious!
