I've been thinking that it's been too long since we've done a social experiment. I maybe want to do something with Omegle this time, maybe a race/best to seduce? Or best mindgame? People can post their transcripts in the comments section or email me and I can post a winner? If you all don't have any suggestions, I'm sure I could come up with something, but I thought I would throw it out there.
Find someone with high empathy and get them to become interested in you. Afterwards you display low self-esteem and give them hints to that you are going to commit suicide. Keep the victim as long as possible and they will go crazy.

It could be fun to actually decide on an experiment that your readers would decide to be in on. Whatever the idea, you would then give them, say 14 days, and after the 14 days you'd "meet up" f.x. in a instant messenger, or simply - as you say - have the readers email you their results. And then - well, you might choose a winner, but I think it would be more fun to simply publish their results (the "winner" would be obvious, or there'd be more than one winner because there'd be more than one level of success).

it's a good idea, but something with that level of depth takes time. You rarely find someone who's that vulnerable and ripe for the influence to trigger immediately, and who's also accessible - not to speak present in your area the day you happen to be looking around.
I think we'd have to find something more simple and short term. Also, I'm not sure M.E. is to this kind of game. We might consider something involving sex and a 'scandal' or dramatic 'break-up' between the subject and their spouse. That's be both less destructive and possible to achieve within a two week's time or so.

This is silly. Of course everybody can think of ways to drive somebody mad if they know their psychological weaknesses etc., but it's not something you do overnight. It's akin to your suggestion about driving someone to commit suicide.

ReplyDeleteSeveral ways I guess. her some on the top of my head. 1. lock inn a closed sement room straight walls with black paint on it. Then high frekvent noice at a desible just below painfull but high enough to be enoying. then making sure there be acsess to food with no remarkeble texture or variation and water. Porage would do nicely. all meals must be served without any contact to the subject. as well as the time table must shift so theres no means for anticipating or creating a pattern. Then the lack of sleep and pure boredom as well as isolation would kick the sucker over the edge within a week. offcourse there are faster ways to.

There are no way these test would be ethical or even humane in any way. But make sure to highten expectation of freedom and then to take it away several times. also use personal mental warfare against subject to inflict greater emotional distress and a more efficient result in a shorter amount of time. For instance the sound of a loved one or the smell of something familliar then to be abruptly replaced with something that triggers a disgust or horror assosiation. and... voila... :-) there u go . basicaly to put it short. If u wanna make a person go insane just make sure hope is gone. (THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSMENT OR INTENDED TO BE TRIED OUT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! SUCH ACTIONS WILL BE PROSECUDED BY THE LAW AND IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN!
