"If you have a golf-ball-sized consciousness, when you read a book, you'll have a golf-ball-sized understanding; when you look out a window, a golf-ball-sized awareness, when you wake up in the morning, a golf-ball-sized wakefulness; and as you go about your day, a golf-ball-sized inner happiness.
But if you can expand that consciousness, make it grow, then when you read about that book, you'll have more understanding; when you look out, more awareness; when you wake up, more wakefulness; as you go about your day, more inner happiness."
David Lynch
First.
ReplyDeleteNo, me.
Deletesociopaths have a rabbit poo sized pellet of awareness... :D
ReplyDeleteI think the ego is a large factor in consciousness.(I know everything is inextricably woven) The ego has a vise grip lock on people. When that loosens, huge changes result in perception, consciousness and every else. We are stepping on our own head and don't see it.
ReplyDeleteHowever, ego reduction is like cod liver oil.
*everything else*
DeleteAnd the ego is as a wisp... catch it in a jar, and it will flee and consume you, but if you release your ego as to the wind, it will soar as to the forest...
Delete— .srMKany
Easy words but hard doing~
DeleteI can not find a jar big enough to contain my ego.
DeleteLOL You need a man size jar, for sure.
DeleteAnd the ego is as a wisp... catch it in a jar, and it will flee and consume you, but if you release your ego as to the wind, it will soar as to the forest...
DeleteI like this. I have a painting of it but you would not see it. well actually the people here probably would.
Anon 5:46, I could loan you one of mine... but be very careful, jars that size are hard to come by. And you should be warned that YOUR ego might develop some agoraphobia wandering around in my jars.
DeleteHow beautifully ironic that you made this about you.
DeleteIt is tuesday... my "beautiful" day.
DeleteMedusa
DeleteEveryone makes everything about them, as that is how we ALL are. If you don't, you are s codependent which sucks, too ~
That's why I said beautifully ironic.
DeleteSee... there I was trying to be nice, trying to be beautiful, trying to let someone borrow a jar... and I get poo'd on. Still a beautiful day.
DeleteCan I have one of your jars, Tom Hill? This is your partial fan.
DeleteHaha! No good deed goes unpunished after all~
DeleteYou ego's are large because you choose them to be large. Life is a choice.
DeleteMaybe. Some people really are that awesome, though. Can't be helped ;)
DeleteBut our awesomeness is held in the eye of the beholder, yes?
DeleteAnd if you're the beholder?
Delete^Expand on your post.
DeleteThere are many people that are to put it nicely, complete douchebags, who are nonetheless convinced they are truly brilliant.
DeleteThere are people that are brilliant, but due to their upbringing or other factors, consider themselves to be garbage.
No matter what the beholders' opinions of them are, their minds are already made up.
my therapist would argue with me on this. He would say k you are right and I am wrong. You are shit. and what do you get out of arguing with me?
Deletei get to be angry about it, I get to blame the authority and say see, this is what was done. I get to shove my wound so far up your ass you don't know how to fix, and what the fuck am I paying for? So you can argue with me like a stranger? Fix me.
I love Tom's fan.
DeleteOh, why thank you :D
DeleteI think Tom's partial fan is one of the most interesting posters we have had in a long time. I like to see the unfolding of this. It seems so slow, though. Don't lose your momentum :D
DeleteWow, thanks, I'm gushing. My partial fondness of Tom must be a pretty interesting side of me.
DeleteIt is. You have an intelligence and a wit which is interesting, whether or not you are Tom's fan or partial fan.
DeleteI think you are incredibly annoying.
DeleteWho is annoying?
DeleteAm I annoying you, Anonymous?
Delete5:13 PM Anon, do you want to be a fan of Tom's partial fan?
DeleteYes, I want to be his friend.
DeleteToms Partial Fan is female. And yes, you can be my friend. Let's go somewhere.
DeleteOk You Lead the Way, Lover.
DeleteOh? Lover? Let's visit around the world.
DeleteSounds wonderful. I am getting packed. I am packing the black silk ~
DeleteOh, alright. I can't promise I'll wear it. Pack some mocha lattes too. I like those. Do you have a user name that you use on the blog or forum?
DeleteI wanted to be first to post :(

Good; then you will have the chance to learn, again, that sometimes you just "can't get what you want."
DeleteSay that again, and leave your name.

People do change their thinking and become wiser with experiences and age.
Sometimes.
DeleteAnd a few times I have met truly wonderful people that were so beaten down by abuse that no matter how hard you try to convince them otherwise, they will always think they are garbage and act accordingly.
It's a terrible waste of potential.
Yes, it's sad.
DeleteIf they could only look at it as they are not a victim but a good student. (of life) But, perhaps, that realization will come later.
Just as depression can be a good thing to go thru - that dark night of the soul and you evolve into a more awareness of life.
Green eyes, I hear you on this. A waste of potential is what I feel/felt a lot. it is someone's hand pressing and squashing my head so I don't grow. it is like if a tree grows and you keep chopping off at the base so it takes time for new roots to grow, and then just when the roots begin to drink and new leaves come, another chop to the trunk happens.
DeleteThe only way out is to not expect the chop anymore, not to rely that the chop is going to come. The chop happened years ago, the chop is the comfort zone, the chop has no more power.
I don't know how to give this chop no mind, but the answer lies in action, like Medusa says. If I can do actions and not think of the chop I will be better. But I would like it that the chop is not whispering in my ear, threatening me, because it is like constantly trying to break out of my own jail.
you know what it is like to step out of a depression? It is like I died and went to heaven where everything tastes delicious, and all I see is pretty even though it might look ugly to others.
DeleteNarcissists will go after attention by claiming they are victims. They will take negative or positive attention. Pathetic but true.
DeleteTrue and nothing worse than a narcissistic sociopath
Deleteok i will wait i love you <3
ReplyDeleteWho is this? You're not Ukan.
Deletei def am
DeleteAfter UKan has fucked them up, they beg for help from UKan. UKan be sure of that.
DeleteWhat? No you're not.
DeleteUKan can beat your ass, if you are ass enough to ask for it from UKan.
DeletePlease beat my ass, if you are Ukan.
DeleteI Never knew the depths of darkness could be so beautiful......so painful......so hot.....so cold. it was everything at the same time of nothing. An amazing "friend" that was in my soul, He knew my thoughts, my passions, my reflection was seen so clearly in him, yet he never existed. He was everything I ever needed while never knowing need. Its a crazy phenomonon to detach from someone who never existed, to finally realize that I fell in love with a mask, a mask that enchanted me and destroyed me.
ReplyDelete^Monica, but I thought you still believed in God? hmmmm
DeleteWhat in the hell? You made an imaginary friend with the "depths of darkness"?
DeleteLOL
DeleteActually with a n asshole poser like yourself
DeleteMoral of the story....... If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.....it could be a fucking duck OR a sociopath posing as one
DeleteOr something else altogether.
DeleteI'm not an asshole, I'm just trying to understand.
DeleteWhat's to understand, if you are here, it should make perfect sense
DeleteNot really... I understand that you have a very vivid imagination to make the person seem so real to you. So painful? Why did you pain yourself?
DeleteBecame what I needed to get what he wanted which was sex.....Nothing more. Lies lies more lies.
DeleteAnon 10:45
ReplyDeleteI still believe in God. What does that have to do with anything?
You are not able to comprehend the above posts?
DeleteNot in relationship to anything I would feel about God. Do you have something you would like to discuss?
DeleteMonica, did you post the 10:40 post?
DeleteNo, I was out~
