  4. Best of luck to MEMarch 30, 2013 at 6:51 AM

I was surprised to read that ME is an attorney and law professor. I'd buy it if she teaches one class a semester in a contract fashion, she never came across as a full-time professor. SHe sure did come across as a she from day one of my visit to SW, and I find it interesting that some here still believe that she is a he under disguise. Those who believe that should realize one thing: They have a hard time stepping out of their definition of a woman, which probably is based on their own mother. ME surely is not anything like your mother, ME is not a mother-type woman.

As I was reading her diagnosis of someone determined to make the wedding to her friend's wedding as a sure case of sociopathy I was a bit shocked. I could have done all of that, simply because once I make up my mind I cannot be easily deterred. If that was a sure case of sociopathy people who want to experience hurricanes and choose to stay are all sociopaths.

I wish ME the best of luck with her book. She does not have to be right in all her observations, she is courageous to start discussion and change some people's world. Particularly with the sociopaths or more-sociopathic-than-not individuals ME is lighting the way to remain functional, productive, fulfilled without resorting to or without getting lost in illegal havoc.

  5. I think Alan's reasoning as an example of a person who may or may not be a sociopath is kind of funny. He's says, as a sociopath, that he is not sure why he did it. But then proceeds to explain why he did it. Of course he is sure. He did it so his potential victim would think he cared for her and is a very good person. To endear himself to her. If for some odd reason he was a match, you can bet your last dollar he would have played her to the donor date and then made an excuse at the last minute explaining he cannot do it, perhaps because he realizes he is nervous about it and now is so torn and suffering for her, oh poor sociopath, that is if he hasn't already pillaged and discarded her.

The Pam one is funny too. Why would anyone think her situation suggests she is a sociopath? Sociopaths do not get their finances taken advantage of, they take advantage of others finances, so that is dead in the water right there before you even get to anything else like say Narcicist bashing. Her husband is most likely a sociopath or has total asshole personality disorder.

I think M.E. probably is a genuine sociopath. She/he has that sociopathic thinking expression that comes out at times like it does with all of them when talking about their interactions with people. It shows without doubt that they view people as objects, with a touch of disdain and finesse. I think it gives off that same creepy feeling that their odd predatory stare can when you see it because it is revealing, genuine and beyond from this view hatefull. I guess this could also all be some goverment related project but tend to doubt it.

QM, you asked some question about aspergers in an earlier post, sorry I missed that. Just quickly, listening to music over and over obsessively or whatever does fit in there, it could be part of a specific obsession or part of some comorbid diagnosis or maybe it it some quirk or immaturity. Yes, I think hearing abnormalities (hearing high frequencies, using the sound of air to place people, perfect pitch) are common with this pop. There are other things but I don't think this group likes to or will talk much about them.

    1. One other thing. I think it is also funny that she is declaring herself as a sociopath, a person with a personality disorder that is considered dangerous, and requesting peoples names and addresses and people are there considering giving them. lol.

Also, she says that 4 percent of the population are non criminal sociopaths. Is it it known for sure that 4 percent of the pop are sociopaths? And don't many sociopaths engage in criminal type behaviour but are high functioning enough, having better control of impulses etc, to not get caught?

And arent' even the ones that are totally non-criminal, however you would define that, perhaps not robbing banks, often engaged in taking advantage of others, their "prey", financially and emotionally leading to serious emotional and financial harm to them? Maybe it would be better if they just robbed banks and kept it criminal and got jailed and people didn't get destroyed?

    2. Psychopathy is extremely rare. 1%

And psychopathy doesn't lead to anything specifically. It all depends on the psychopath's choices, motivations and strength. The vast majority of psychopaths don't really do anything. They're more subtle, venomous poison rather than violent, criminal hot heads.

    3. It's the subtle venomous poison that gets a lot done in terms of damaging lives.

    5. QM

I am a pretty good mimic, but I identify as a borderline. Idk how much or if it's related to my mirroring thing or what, but . . .

I identify a bit with this autistic girl in this movie.

  9. I can tell by their expressions, generally they move the FRONT PART OF THEIR FACES while the sides/back of the face remains rather stoic, hard, they mainly move their eyebrows and mouth. A natural expression requires movement of more muscles.

Also, their facial expressions are SMOOTH, kind of flowing like a song as if rehearsed, and not random noise which would be the natural way of reacting to different emotions on the spot.

For example watch the following video of DAVID BOWIE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZtHxP4EMV0

Or JESSE JAMES (Sandra Bullock's exhusband):

    Or ANGELINA JOLIE:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lH70NQr0KEs

Try it and let me know what you find, but you may have to observe for long periods of time to notice the pattern.

Disclaimer: The examples may or may not be sociopaths, I just showed them as an example of their facial expressions, although they do portray sociopathic traits.
