In a yarn the cat whispered to the odd woman: "-You suffer from not being able to be happy or content whatever you do. A classic curse of the damned. Don´t think that this has lessened further up the ladder. Few real club members will admit this: NOTHING will ever satisfy."

DeleteVery true.
I wonder if the cat in the tale has a view on the purpose of life?
The cat in the tale looked at the womans twisted toes and said: "-Poverty is like tasty juice for sociopaths: learning the value of money gives the socio new life. A kind of materialistic spirituality. Do they like it? They hate it. But after many years they change in the right direction."
DeleteIn the story, the philosopher listened to the cat. She pondered dreams and beauty and values and resources and friendship. She thought about the choices we make in combining these ingredients into our recipes for life, and how she loved the different and delicate balance the cat brought into his and how his beauty was somehow essential to hers. And she wanted to say that she loved him but knew it would be cold comfort to the cat. Instead, she just listened to what these things meant to the cat.
DeleteRandom comment: this weekend my friend is taking me to ride at the place where I broke my back five months ago.
ReplyDeleteThe cat in the tale thought to himself: "I think aspies (some see them as benevolent socios) have a misunderstanding about evil & psychopathy. Most psychos dislike humans the way dogs dislike other dogs. That is not evil. It can develop into evil, but if it does someone else often has initiated it (by disturbing the psycho). An empty wardrobe is not evil. And a pure socio is not that different."
ReplyDeleteDespite the cat's ways, the philosopher felt accepted by the cat. That's why she could observe the cat's haughty and naughty behaviours, and not take them personally. She was just sure to close the door when his teeth were bared or his claws extended.
DeleteShe knew his ways were his ways and that's who he was - probably for valid reasons she would never understand.

That's about right, I'd say.
Thanks for sharing, A. Did you find it useful?
DeleteApparently, a Type 5 most fears lack of competence / desires competence.
Personally, I feel I'm fairly competent or at least I'm confident I can acquire any additional extra competency required. So I don't fear lack of competence.
But I do feel the typical fear of the Type 8: being controlled. I'm very sensitive to attempts at manipulation or dominance.
So I think this has been helpful to me because I can see a direction of growth as being competence in handling those inevitable sorts of behaviours.
usually 7 is 98 or 99% for me
